An investigation is underway after Pomona Police Department officers shot and killed a man Tuesday evening.
According to Pomona police, officers opened fire on the suspect after showing up at the intersection of North Hamilton Boulevard and West Center Street around 11:57 p.m.
The suspect was taken to Pomona Valley Medical Center, where he died from his injuries. It is not known what led to the shooting, police said.
According to Pomona police, a firearm was recovered at the scene and no officers were injured.
Sheriff’s Department homicide investigators are assisting Pomona police with the shooting investigation.
