CHICAGO (CBS) — A man was shot Thursday night in an alley in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.
The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of West Harrison Street.
Chicago police said officers arrived on the scene and found the man in the alley with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He died on the spot. The victim’s age was not released.
In any case, several evidence markers have been found near garbage bins.
It is not clear what prompted the shooting.
Area 4 detectives are investigating.
