Man shot outside light rail station in North Sacramento. Police looking for suspects

A shooting outside a light rail station in North Sacramento left one man injured and halted train service Sunday afternoon, authorities said.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Arden Way on Del Paso Boulevard just after 2 p.m. for reports of a person shot. The suspects fled the scene, also near the location Sacramento Police and Sheriff’s Memorialaccording to archived audio messages reviewed by The Sacramento Bee.

The victim’s condition was not immediately known, police said. The incident marked the second shooting on Sunday.

It was unclear when RT service would resume. A spokesperson for RT did not immediately return a request for comment.
