A SWAT standoff ended with a man surrendering after officers said he barricaded himself in a home and shot at officers.

As reported Wednesday on News Center 7 at 11amthe man was barricaded in a home in the 11000 block of Big Bear Path.
Two people were injured, including the suspect, who was shot in the arm by officers, Logan County Sheriff Randall Dodds said.
News Center 7′s Taylor Robertson According to reports, SWAT yelled at the man to come out with his hands up, and he surrendered after 12 hours.
Officers placed him in an ambulance. Medics transported the man to Miami Valley Hospital.

Robertson reports that crews have blocked off Big Bear Path. SWAT, medics and officers from Bellefontaine, Columbus and Marysville surrounded the home.
Doctors took another person to hospital.
Dodds told News Center 7 on Wednesday that the man shot at the SWAT officers and they tried to enter the home.
The confrontation began Wednesday morning after reports of shots fired in the house.
The delegates advised people to avoid the area.

Robertson also spoke to a man, and he told her he noticed the commotion around noon.
“It’s devastating, you know, and it’s stressful,” Russ Thompson said. “You have to deal with it, and some of the guys that went in there and got shot at. That’s going to be with them forever.

The sheriff’s office released a statement on social media late Wednesday night.
The suspect’s name has not been released. BCI is investigating.
The standoff ended just before 9:20 p.m.
