Crime: theft
Date and time: November 18 at 6:18 PM
Location: Hershey Harvest, 3337 Kutztown Road, Laureldale
Suspect: White male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a beer belly, dark pants, blue hoodie with white paint spots on the front and wearing a black N95 mask. He could be in his late fifties to sixties.
Police Summary: Laureldale Police provided this report: A man came in and went to the counter where the cash register is located. The suspect in the attached photo stood at the cash register and counted the change in his hand and then asked the clerk for a dime for the cents he had. The clerk opened the cash register and the man tried to take money out. The two got into an argument, but the clerk gave up when she thought the suspect had a gun in his hand. The suspect took a small amount of money and fled through the parking lot, crossing Elizabeth Ave. and ran through the alley between Kutztown Road and Fairfield Street. Police believe the suspect is from Temple or elsewhere in Muhlenberg County, as surveillance footage shows he approached the store from that direction. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Alert or call Laureldale police at 610-929-8816 or 610-655-4911.
