November 8 – Many government agencies will close their offices on Monday in honor of Veterans Day.
*Most federal and state offices will close and reopen Tuesday for regular hours.
*All offices and facilities in the City of Santa Fe are closed, including all Santa Fe Public Library and Municipal Court locations. The Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe Golf Course remains open. The Parking Department considers Nov. 11 a meter holiday, meaning people can park for free in metered parking lots, although surface lots and garages still charge fees.
*Santa Fe County Administrative Offices will be closed Monday. Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed as usual on Mondays, the province said in a news release. All senior center activities are canceled and home-delivered meals will be provided to eligible seniors prior to the closure. Essential public safety services will continue without interruption.
* Santa Fe Public Schools are open.
*The New Mexico Rail Runner Express and all Rio Metro buses operate on a regular schedule on weekdays. Santa Fe Trails and Ride will operate on a holiday schedule and transit administration offices will be closed.
*Entrance fees will be waived Monday at all National Park Service sites, including Bandelier National Monument. The ABQ BioPark offers $1 admission on Monday.
*New Mexico residents who are veterans or active-duty military personnel can visit the New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs’ 16 museums and historic sites for free Saturday through Monday.
* The City of Santa Fe Veterans Day event scheduled for Monday at the Bataan Memorial Building has been canceled due to the weather forecast. A luncheon at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2951, 307 Montezuma Ave. However, it will go ahead as planned.
