Ahead of the Copa America match between the US and Panama at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, MARTA officials are reminding fans that the train is the best way to get to the match.
As part of the train service for the event, MARTA says they will offer additional running times to ensure fans can get to and from the match quickly and safely.

The extra train times also come because traffic in Atlanta will experience heavier, slower than normal driving times on Thursday evening.
In addition to the Copa match, the first presidential debate of the 2024 election campaign will also take place on the Turner Broadcasting campus in Midtown. Former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are coming to Atlanta for the confrontation.

“It is expected that the U.S. Secret Service will close lanes and streets near campus, with the possibility of increasing roadblocks on the Downtown Connector,” which will impact traffic times, according to MARTA.
Atlanta police are also urging preparation for the busy evening.
“We expect a busy evening this Thursday, June 27, 2024. The Copa America is back at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the US Men’s National Team will take on Panama for each team’s second Group C match. In conjunction with the game, Atlanta will host the first presidential debate in 2024. If you are planning a night out in Atlanta, for the game, dinner or any of our offerings, we encourage you to plan ahead and anticipate limited parking and heavier than normal traffic,” APD said in a statement.
They encourage Atlanta residents and visitors to use MARTA or rideshare services.
