In his first game back with the New York Rangers, Matt Rempe was ejected.
Rempe was given a game misconduct after a late hit on Miro Heiskanen in the third period of the Rangers game against the Dallas Stars.
The puck had already left Heiskanen’s stick, but Rempe came flying in with his elbow aimed at Heiskanen’s head.
Before the goal, Rempe played a productive match, as he managed to save three penalties and even had a few attacking opportunities.
The Rangers called up the 22-year-old forward from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League after trading Kaapo Kakko to the Seattle Kraken on Wednesday night.
