Meet the beautiful blue-banded bee that loves lavender and blue objects

Colorful blue-banded bees are known for their love of lavender and blue objects. They can be found throughout most of Australia, India, Papua New Guinea, and other areas of eastern Asia. Unlike some other bees, members of this species live in solitary nests that they build near others, according to the Australian Museum.
