MINNEAPOLIS – Minneapolis city leaders will show the public Tuesday how they are testing their voting machines to ensure everything runs smoothly on Election Day.
Public testing is required by law, and is especially important when There has been so much concern about accuracy and security in the recent elections.
Leaders of Minneapolis Elections and Voters Services will demonstrate the accuracy of the computer program, voting equipment and ballots that will be used for the upcoming general presidential election.
There are 137 voting machines and 137 support voting machines in Minneapolis, and the machines are randomly selected to represent all offices in all precincts.
Testing takes place twice on Tuesday: at 10 a.m. and at 12 noon. It will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel.
Tuesday is also the last day to register early to vote in Minnesota. You can still register on Election Day or vote early in person.
