MINNETONKA, Minn. — Minnetonka High School was placed on lockdown Tuesday morning while police investigate reports of a suspicious person.
Minnetonka police say there is a heavy police presence at the school and are asking people to avoid the area of the high school, which is west of Minneapolis.
According to high school principal Jeff Erickson, students and staff are in classrooms, but common areas have been evacuated. Erickson added that police are “investigating a situation” happening outside the building.
