More than 75,000 people in Central Florida are still without power after Hurricane Milton

Tens of thousands of Central Floridians were still waiting for their power to be restored Saturday — two days after Hurricane Milton tore through the region

Local utilities promised that most customers would turn their lights back on this weekend.

According to information from 1:30 p.m. According to the website PowerOutage.us, 26,116 customers in Orange County were without power. That equates to 24,185 Duke Energy customers and 1,931 Orlando Utilities Commission customers. The site collects data from utilities across the country.

In Lake County, 31,177 people were without power. That includes five at Clay Electric Cooperative, 20,401 at Duke, 2,555 at Leesburg Electric and 8,216 at SECO Energy, according to the website.

In Osceola County, the site reports that 2,370 people are still without electricity. That amounts to 2,336 for Duke, eight for the Kissimmee Utility Authority and 26 for OUC.

And in Seminole County, 17,692 people were still waiting for power to be restored. According to the site, that consists of 12,022 for Duke and 5,670 for Florida Power & Light.

On Friday, the website reported that nearly 200,000 of the more than 1.3 million total utility customers in Orange, Lake, Osceola and Seminole counties were still without electricity.
