Mostly clear skies meet and greet us at night, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s in the city and New Jersey. Further north, temperatures are around 30 degrees.
Don’t forget to turn the clock back one hour. Daylight saving time ends Sunday at 2am. We can enjoy that extra hour of sleep, but the sun also sets much earlier. Our sunrise on Sunday is at 6:32 AM and our sunset is at 4:55 PM
Sunday will be another cool and sunny day with highs in the upper 50s and low 60s.
Starting Monday, temperatures will return to the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies.
On Tuesday, Election Day, we will be partly sunny and unseasonably warm in the upper 70s, possibly surpassing our record high of 80.
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, around 80 degrees, almost 20 degrees above average. We could go hunting for records.
Another weak front will pass through the region on Thursday and like the past four fronts, it will likely fizzle out and leave us dry.
Temperatures will drop into the 60s on Friday under mostly sunny skies.
The NEXT Weather Alert Team will be keeping an eye on a better organized system next weekend that has a better chance of bringing us some showers. Stay tuned for updates.
