Journalists traveling with the vice presidential candidate reported that the accident happened shortly before 1 p.m. on Interstate 794. Walz was en route to a Labor Day event in Milwaukee.
According to journalists, a member of the press bus crew was found to have a broken arm and was being treated by medics. They said they were thrown forward violently when a bus collided with another and was then hit from behind.
According to the campaign, Walz’s vehicle was not involved in the accident.
