Motorcyclist killed after crash in Iredell County

One person was killed Saturday after a crash involving a motorcycle and a logging truck near Statesville.

Officials with the North Carolina Highway Patrol say they were called to the area of ​​NC 115 and Ella Kay Lane around 11 a.m. Saturday for a crash.

Officers say Keaton McGlamery, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Officials say McGlamery was riding his motorcycle on NC 115 when he attempted to pass a logging truck in front of him.

Officers say the logging truck made a left turn into a parking lot and the motorcyclist struck a log hanging from the logging truck’s trailer and was thrown from his motorcycle.

The driver of the truck was not injured in the accident.

Highway Patrol officials say no charges will be filed in this crash.
