Jacob Trouba lit the fire for the New York Rangers early in their Saturday afternoon game against the Montreal Canadiens.
In the first period, Trouba battled Josh Anderson as the two threw punches at each other for over 30 seconds.
Trouba almost went down a few times, but was able to stay on his feet and power through some heavy blows from Anderson.
It was perhaps the best fight of this NHL season so far, based on the length of time and the number of hard punches thrown.
Ultimately, Trouba tumbled to the ice, even though the message to his team had already been sent and fully received.
