A 41-year-old Naples woman is dead, and a 17-year-old Naples girl and a 26-year-old Naples man were seriously injured, after authorities say the teen failed to yield to oncoming traffic.

The wreck happened Tuesday around 1:50 p.m. along Airport-Pulling Road in East Naples, according to an incident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the car driven by the teen was traveling south on Airport-Pulling Road, north of Estey Avenue, in the left turn lane, while a pickup driven by the 26-year-old man was traveling north on Airport-Pulling Road . , south of Estey Avenue in the right lane.

A third vehicle, an SUV driven by a 62-year-old Naples woman, was stopped in the right lane westbound on Estey Avenue.

Officers said the teen turned left, causing the pickup to collide with the sedan.

After the crash, the SUV collided with other debris, according to police.

The 41-year-old woman who was riding with the teen died at the scene, making her one of at least 56 fatalities from crashes in Collier County this year.
