NCDMV Reopens Catawba County License Plate Agency

The North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that it will reopen its license plate registration office in Catawba County.

According to the DMV, the office closed on October 10, 2023 due to the termination of the contract with the previous operator.

The reopening is scheduled for July 10 on Conover Boulevard W.

The timetable is valid from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm, except on national holidays.

In North Carolina, NCDMV oversees LPAs. However, license plate agencies are run by private companies or local governments.

They offer services for vehicle registration and ownership transactions, as well as license plate renewals, replacement license plates, disabled cards and duplicate registrations.

There are currently 123 license plate agencies operating in North Carolina.
