AAA has compiled a list of eight scenic coastal towns in the West. The list includes two coastal towns in Washington: Seabrook and Sequim.
Seabrook, WA
Seabrook is a coastal town on the central coast of Washington,
just a two-hour drive from Tacoma and less than a four-hour drive from Bellingham.
AAA describes Seabrook as an “idyllic coastal village” filled with salt pan houses and clapboard cottages.
The city is filled with many things to do and even more places to eat.

Sequim, WA
Sequim is a coastal city located along the Dungeness River, near the Olympic Mountains, less than two hours from Tacoma and less than three hours from Bellingham.
According to AAA, the coastal city offers many activities for art lovers and outdoor recreationists.
Some of these activities include viewing carvings, ceramics, and photographs from more than 25 local artists at the Blue Whole Gallery, shopping for handmade gifts made by Native American artists from across the state at Northwest Native Expressions, and hiking in Sequim Bay State Park.
According to the city’s website, Sequim is also known as the lavender capital of North America because it is home to many lavender farms. The city also hosts an annual lavender festival.
