Netanyahu is discussing the ICJ’s decision with cabinet ministers, reports say

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will discuss the decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the Israeli raid on Rafah with several key cabinet ministers, Israeli media reported on Friday.

Netanyahu’s office said he would speak to the attorney general, justice minister, foreign minister and defense minister, among others, during a conference call.

The UN Supreme Court on Friday ordered Israel to “immediately” halt its military operation in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip.

This was preceded by an urgent request from South Africa.

According to the judges, the humanitarian situation in Rafah is now ‘disastrous’. Further measures are needed to prevent further harm to the civilian population, they said.
