New video shows plane skidding after crash on Haggin Oaks golf course

New video shows how far the small plane that made an emergency landing on the Haggin Oaks golf course in Sacramento skidded before coming to a rest against the wall of the pro shop on Sunday.

The pilot suffered minor injuries; no other injuries were reported.

According to Justin Sylvia, public information officer for the Sacramento Fire Department, the solo pilot took off from McClellan Airport and experienced engine failure at 400 feet after takeoff. He was unable to make an emergency landing at the airport.

The pilot landed the plane near a putting green, after which it skidded onto the grass and came to a stop against the golf course wall, according to video from Spot on News via VideoElephant.

Security camera footage from Haggin Oaks shows large skid marks on the grass from the landing site.
