NEXT Weather warning for bitter cold and wind chill on Sunday. Here’s the prediction.

There’s no doubt that bitter Arctic air has arrived in the Philadelphia area, with high temperatures only climbing into the 30s on Saturday afternoon.

The last time Philly had a high temperature cooler than 40 degrees was February 17, when the high temperature was 38 degrees.

Sunday will be no different, with temperatures starting around 20 degrees and feeling like the high temperatures thanks to a strong westerly wind of 8 to 16 km/h. There will also be slightly more clouds on Sunday than on Saturday, keeping the temperature above 30 degrees again.

CBS News Philadelphia.

The Arctic blast will continue through the next week, with most days highs around 40 or 30 degrees. The warmest day of the next seven days will be Thursday, with highs in the mid-40s. Nights this week will be in the low 20s and wind chills will be in the low 20s each day.

An even colder air mass will arrive next weekend.

With all this cold air, this would be the perfect week for snow, but unfortunately the pattern will be mostly dry and sunny with only a chance of snow showers late Wednesday. At this time we expect little or no accumulation.
