NORFOLK – A contractor who works at the Norfolk City Jail has been arrested and charged with supplying drugs to inmates at the jail.

Takeyah Gosha, 30, is an employee of a jail contractor who delivers canteen to inmates, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.

A lengthy investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Security Threat Unit revealed that Gosha brought in undisclosed controlled substances during her rounds and delivered them to inmates.

“It is our expectation that all employees and contractors will conduct themselves with integrity,” Sheriff Joe Baron said in the news release. “Ms. Gosha’s arrest is an example of how we will hold ourselves and our contractors accountable when they act contrary to the law and/or our expected values.”
