(CBS DETROIT) – Michigan State Police say a thrift store employee in northern Michigan found several pipe bombs in a donated box of tools.

According to police, an employee at the New Beginnings Thrift Shop in Harbor Springs discovered the pipe bombs Wednesday afternoon after picking up a donated box containing numerous tools and going through the box to see what else was inside.

MSP’s bomb squad and dog teams responded to the thrift store. Police say the bomb squad x-rayed the pipe bombs and determined that one of the bombs contained a fuse and power.

The bomb squad made it safe and removed the bomb. Police searched the business and surrounding areas but found no other explosives.

An investigation is underway.
