Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded quickly to an emergency call at the Port of Los Angeles on Sunday when a boat began taking on water.
The boat’s captain made the call when the boat began to sink in the early afternoon, prompting crew members from the LASD Special Enforcement Bureau Tactical Maritime to be dispatched.
They arrived to find that there were several people, including some children, on board.
According to the officers, the crews managed to stabilize the boat with pumps before it was towed into port.
No one was hurt.
It is unclear what caused the water to fill the boat.
