Ohio gas prices are down from last week: Here’s how much

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, gas prices in the state fell last week, reaching an average of $3.39 per gallon of regular fuel on Monday. That’s down from $3.54 per gallon last week.

The average price of gas in the state has risen about 20 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices in the state over the past year have been as low as $2.61 on Jan. 8, 2024, and as high as $3.69 on April 10, 2023.

A year ago, the average price of gasoline in Ohio was 6% lower, at $3.18 a gallon.

The average price of gas in the United States was $3.49 last week, making prices in the state about 3.0% lower than the national average. The average national gas price is up from last week’s average of $3.48 per gallon.
