The Oklahoma State Board of Education voted Thursday to suspend the former Bixby High School principal’s teaching license after an incident at a school dance in September.

The Bixby Public Schools Board of Education voted to fire Mickey Replogle in October after he was arrested on Sept. 8 on suspicion of public intoxication at a school dance.

News media reported that Replogle was accused of inappropriately touching students during the dance.

The former director pleaded not guilty to the charges on October 1, before the case was dismissed in Tulsa Municipal Court on November 4.

Replogle’s teaching license had to be considered by the board, led by Public Schools Superintendent Ryan Walters, among other high-profile cases including Greg Werner, the former Poteau High School football coach, and Shawnee Superintendent Aaron Espolt.
