One person was killed in a shooting late Thursday in west Lubbock.
Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 6100 block of 26th St. at 11:04 p.m. Thursday, according to a statement from the Lubbock Police Department.
Upon arrival, police found one person suffering from a suspected gunshot wound. The person, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made and police did not immediately release a description of the suspect as the Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit investigates the shooting.
