El Paso police detectives are investigating a deadly shooting at a northeast apartment complex that left one person dead, a police spokesman said.

The shooting happened about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the North Mountain Village Apartments, 9435 Diana Drive near Dyer Street, said Officer Adrian Cisneros, a police spokesman.
One man was taken to a hospital where he died, Cisneros said. The person’s age and identity were not immediately released pending notification of family.
An investigation by homicide detectives from the Crimes Against Persons Unit continued on Sunday. No arrests had been made.
Shooting in Central El Paso
El Paso police are also investigating another shooting that happened early Sunday in the central area.
The non-fatal shooting happened around 4 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Rio Grande Avenue. Further details were not immediately available.
