A Boise man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and aggravated assault after attacking someone he lived with, Boise police said in a news release.
Boise police responded to a report of a stabbing on Friday afternoon. Officers found a victim, who was taken to hospital, but died a short time later. The suspect, 35-year-old Scott Stevens, was taken into custody.
His charges do not yet appear in the state’s court filing system.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect and victim knew each other and lived in a home with other adults,” the release said. “Evidence shows that two other adults in the home attempted to intervene and were threatened by the suspect while he held a weapon.”
Police say the attack appears to have been unprovoked. The potential weapon was found at the scene.
