Multiple shootings in Fort Worth late Saturday evening and Sunday morning left at least one person dead and two others injured, according to Fort Worth police.
The first shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. on the night of Oct. 12 in the 4300 block of Kyleigh Drive in south Fort Worth, police said.
When they arrived on scene, officers found a deceased victim lying on the ground in the driveway of a home, a police spokesperson said.
The suspect in the shooting was also at the scene and was arrested by officers, police said.
Investigation revealed that several women were involved in an altercation in the home prior to the shooting, police said.
No arrests have been made yet and the investigation is ongoing, according to police.
The Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit is conducting that investigation, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim once next of kin has been notified.
Police are also investigating a shooting and attempted robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at the Carol Oaks Apartments, in the 7400 block of Ederville Road, the department said.
Officers were dispatched to Medical City North Hills around 3 a.m. after a victim arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound, police said.
Two suspects were arrested after a chase near West Freeway and University Drive, officials said.
The victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and the Fort Worth Police Department’s Robbery Unit is investigating, police said.
Officers responded to a third shooting in the 1000 block of East 9 shortly after 9 a.me Street, east of the center.
Police said in a news release that “two transient individuals” got into an argument over personal property. During the argument, one person fired a gun and the shot grazed a man’s arm, police said.
The man who was shot was taken to a hospital. The suspect remains at large and the Gun Violence Unit is investigating.
