One person was killed Saturday morning in a suspected drunken driving crash, North Texas police said

Grand Prairie police are investigating a fatal crash caused by a suspected drunk driver on Saturday, Oct. 19, officials said.

A Toyota passenger car with its hazard lights on was traveling north in the 4500 block of S. Highway 360 about 1:40 a.m. A GMC SUV traveling in the same direction struck the rear of the slower-moving Toyota, police said in a news release.

The driver of the Toyota died at the scene. The driver of the SUV, 20-year-old Hector Garcia, was arrested for intoxication manslaughter, officials said.

Garcia is being held at the Grand Prairie Detention Center on a $200,000 bond, according to the release.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not publicly identified the victim. The investigation into the fatal collision is still ongoing, police said.
