Some Ontario parents are outraged by a possible plea deal the San Bernardino County district attorney’s office has offered to a teen accused of making plans to shoot up a school.

Several months ago, police said the suspect intended to shoot students at Ontario Christian High School.

“It’s a truly terrifying proposition to think that this man, who just set out to execute children, could walk out of the courtroom with everyone else,” said the father of a student allegedly targeted in the plot .

Sebastian Villasenor, 18, pleaded not guilty after allegedly admitting he planned to kill six specific students at the school.

Investigators said they foiled his plan after finding seven rifles and two revolvers. At the time, he was facing five counts of attempted murder and one count of criminal threatening.

Three months later, Villasenor may receive a plea deal that includes no jail time and a few years of parole.

Villasenor’s lawyer, Daniel Delimon, said in a statement:

We have always maintained that Sebastian is completely innocent of the attempted murder and the allegation that he planned or planned a school shooting. The proposed plea deal appears to reflect the understanding that these charges can never be proven in a criminal trial.

The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office said they are in contact with the victim’s families and will take their concerns into account.
