Outdated gun tracking system delays thousands of cases, workers say

According to FBI data, about half of all homicide cases remained unsolved over the past three years. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ National Tracing Center is tracing the background of a gun recovered from a crime scene, but officials say the system is outdated.
