A woman’s life ended after what started as a happy event.
On Saturday evening, a woman was shot and killed at a graduation party on Stone Mountain Highway just after 7:30 p.m

Channel 2’s Veronica Griffin was live from the Gwinnett County Police Department on Sunday morning.
The party went to an event space in a shopping plaza.
Police said the victim knew the man who killed her and they are now investigating Why.
“The suspect was still at the scene. He was subdued by witnesses and then taken into custody,” said Mark Meyers of GCPD.
Griffin spoke with the owner of the location, who did not want to appear on camera, and they said the shooting happened just inside the location.
He says police told him the victim and shooter were relatives: husband and wife. Both were invited to the graduation event.
At this time, police have not confirmed these details.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses and collected several shell casings at the scene.
No one else was injured.
