Firefighters are battling a small wildfire that broke out Wednesday near homes in the hills of the Pacific Palisades.
The fire was reported near 1400 North Palisades Drive and had burned about 5 acres, moving slowly in heavy brush near a reservoir, according to a Los Angeles Fire Department alert issued at 9:50 a.m.
Just after 10 a.m., aerial footage captured an LAFD helicopter making a water drop over the fire, with some flames burning along a hillside as a heavy cloud of smoke rose from the area.
No other details have been released by LAFD.
