PARKER, Colo. (KDVR) – A Parker family is frustrated and shocked after a late-night theft in their driveway.

The Wall family woke up to find the trailer with their four-wheeler side by side gone. The family said they normally keep these utility vehicles on family property, but they had just brought them home for a planned camping trip for Memorial Day weekend.

Here’s what you need to do to be part of the middle class in Colorado

Brie Wall, mother of two, spoke to FOX31 about the theft and how they found out their belongings were missing.

“I left for the gym around six this morning and I pulled out of the driveway and noticed something was missing. So the flatbed wasn’t there with our Razor and our ATV on it. So I drove right back in, called him and called the police,” Brie said.

Fortunately, they have several cameras in the house, which capture the thieves on video.

This shows the thieves passing by their house in a white truck around 2:17 am. Less than ten minutes later the pair return, and within a few minutes they hitch the trailer and drive away.

The family estimates what they stole is about $30,000. They were insured for everything except the four-wheeler. In speaking with neighbors, just before reaching their home, the Walls discovered that the same suspects had stolen a trailer hitch a block away, and possibly used that same trailer hitch to steal the Walls’ trailer.

“It’s a pretty tight little community, two in, two out, and everyone really knows each other,” said Stan Wall, Brie’s husband.

They hope police can find the perpetrators, although they are more concerned that fellow Parker residents know this is happening in their community.

“People need to be aware that as the weather warms up, people will be taking RVs and toys home and leaving them outside. It can happen to anyone,” says Brie.

The homeowners association in a neighboring area contacted the Walls after posting the videos on social media. Their residents have a specific lot that residents can use for commercial vehicles and have had several burglaries involving a similar truck and suspects.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Parker police.
