A West Side street will be closed this weekend as part of the Lloyd4U construction project, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Te Couple Avenue will be closed between Claremont Avenue and Corbierre Avenue from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday while crews begin removing the western portion of the Lloyd Expressway bridge overhead.
The Lloyd work — which is happening concurrently with INDOT pipeline work on Interstate 69 and US 41 — has already eliminated the stoplight on Vann Avenue and initiated changes on Stockwell Road. Overhauls of Burkhardt Road and Cross Pointe Boulevard are scheduled for next year. The entire project should be completed around 2028.
