Paso Robles man arrested in suspected stabbing, fled scene, police say

Paso Robles man arrested in suspected stabbing, fled scene, police say

Someone was stabbed during a fight in Paso Robles on Sunday morning.

According to a press release from the Paso Robles Police Department, officers received a report of a stabbing at approximately 2:07 a.m. and the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed that a fight had occurred earlier that morning in the 3300 block of Vine Street, the press release said.

According to police, 32-year-old Alberto CruzNieves of Paso Robles has been identified as the suspect. CruzNieves reportedly fled in a vehicle after the stabbing.

Shortly thereafter, CHP officers in Kern County located CruzNieves in a vehicle and arrested him without incident, the news release said.

CruzNieves was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, the news release said.
