BOSTON – Peak leaf season has started. Northern New England is bursting with color right now and this weekend is the best time to head to the Green and White Mountains.
Fortunately, the weather has been cooperative lately, with a few spells of rain, interspersed with some cool nights in the north.

Boston weekend weather forecast
Our weather remains very calm and for the most part we have a fantastic weekend ahead of us.
The only chance of rain will come early Saturday morning and most of the area will remain dry. There will be only a few, fast-moving, light showers around sunrise.
The rest of the weekend will be characterized by lots of sun and pleasant temperatures.
It will be a beautiful fall day at Gillette Stadium on Sunday, and the New England Patriots will try to make it even better with a win.
Our next chance for any significant rainfall will come on Monday. There’s a pretty good chance that most of our region will have a wet start to the working week.
Finally, it looks like there will be a blast of cold air from Canada, arriving in New England next Tuesday/Wednesday.
This could lead to our first frost in some of the northern and western suburbs.
