A pedestrian was killed in a car crash in Orangevale on Monday, authorities said.
According to the CHP’s dispatch log, California Highway Patrol officers were called just before 7:50 a.m. for reports of a man being struck by a vehicle. The silver sedan’s windshield suffered damage after the crash at Hazel Avenue and Greenback Lane, the CHP said.
It was unclear how the collision could have happened.
A spokesperson for the CHP’s East Sacramento office could not immediately be reached for comment.
