Penn State Behrend has partnered with the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) in India to create new teaching and research opportunities at both schools.
That agreement highlights what’s called a “2+2 program,” meaning Gandhi Institute students can begin their studies in India and earn their degrees at Penn State University.

It’s about teachers, research and student exchanges.
“India is a growing country. In the next three to five years, we will have about a billion people over the age of 13. We have a fair responsibility to provide our students with enough global opportunities. This partnership means that we will have fantastic opportunities for our students to work with transnational education,” said Kens Acharya, Provost Chancellor, GITAM Campus.

Behrend also said that this collaboration will create additional synergies with both universities and enable significant growth.
