Person, 3 cats killed in trailer fire in Colerain Township, officials say

One person and three cats died in a trailer fire in Colerain Township on Saturday afternoon, according to a news release.

Firefighters were dispatched to the 8300 block of Stahley Drive around 4:03 p.m., the Colerain Fire Department said in the news release. When crews arrived, the fire was active and flames could be seen outside the trailer.

After the fire was extinguished within minutes, crews conducted a search of the trailer and found one dead person and three cats, the Colerain Fire Department said.

The victim has not yet been identified and the cause of death is unknown.

The Ohio Fire Marshal and Colerain Township Fire Investigation Unit are investigating the cause of the fire.

This house fire is the third in Greater Cincinnati in recent days. On Friday evening, an apartment fire in Pleasant Ridge displaced two families and injured a firefighter, while a house fire in Oakley displaced two adults and a child.
