CHICAGO (CBS) — Someone was arrested Sunday morning after a shooting took place in the south of the city, prompting a SWAT team to arrive on the scene.
Chicago police reported that around 2:13 a.m., a 29-year-old man took himself to the University of Chicago Medical Center after being shot in the 10500 block of South Cottage Grove in the Roseland neighborhood.
The victim was in critical condition and had gunshot wounds to his body.
A second shooting victim was taken to Roseland Hospital with a graze wound to the left forearm in good condition. The victim’s age and gender were not released.
One person was arrested and the incident proceeded without incident.
Detectives from Area 2 conducted an investigation.
