A man was killed early Sunday morning near Brentwood when his truck crashed into a tree.
The California Highway Patrol was notified of the solo vehicle crash on Sunset Road west of Sellers Avenue at approximately 1:12 a.m.
A tan GMC pickup, occupied by a male adult driver, was traveling westbound on Sunset Road. The driver turned left across the eastbound lanes, drove off the roadway and crashed the GMC head-on into a tree on the south side of Sunset Road.
The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance with life-threatening injuries, but died during transport.
