Podz clarified the comments after Warriors’ win over Timberwolves originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
It didn’t take long for Brandin Podziemski to realize he needed to clarify and add context to the comments he made after the Warriors’ win on Saturday night.
The second-year NBA guard posted a statement on
Shortly after the Warriors’ 113-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center, coach Steve Kerr talked about how Golden State’s young players should play alongside Steph Curry.
Kerr’s comments were passed on to Podziemski.
“I don’t really think. I just play,” Podziemski told reporters. “If I’m out there and I’m open, I’ll shoot it. If not, I’ll make plays. I don’t really look at it too much. I know we have Steph Curry on the court and if he’s open, I’m going to pass the ball to throw him. I don’t really look into those messages.”
At the time, Podziemski clearly found nothing wrong with what he said, but after seeing the reaction, he knew he had to clear the air.
