Police are investigating a crash that killed a pedestrian along Interstate 24.
Nashville police said an 18-year-old Antioch woman identified as Bethany Coolittle was in the middle of a highway when she was struck Monday around 6:40 p.m. by an unknown vehicle that sped off after hitting her.
Other vehicles that remained at the scene also struck the woman, but it is believed none of these vehicles were the vehicle that initially struck her.
According to police, it is not known why the woman was walking in the lane at the time of the collision.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or driver involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
