Two men were shot in Fresno on Sunday night.
The shooting happened shortly after midnight on North State Street near West Shaw Avenue, when witnesses called police to say there were two victims.
The victims – who police say are in their 20s and 30s – were taken to a local hospital and are expected to survive.
One victim was shot in the lower body and the other in the abdomen, Lt. Henry Garcia III said.
The motive for the shooting is not clear, but is suspected to involve a dark sedan.
“We are still trying to determine exactly what happened leading up to the shooting,” Garcia said.
