A 28-year-old man was killed after being shot by a woman in Ellendale on Saturday evening, according to police.
According to Delaware State Police, a shooting was reported in the 13000 block of South Old State Road in Ellendale on June 1 around 10:47 p.m.
When officers arrived on scene, they found the 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the chest in the front yard of a home. Police said the victim was involved in an altercation with a woman. The woman pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. The suspect fled the scene.
