Police close lane of Rickenbacker Causeway to investigate ‘suspicious package’

Miami police closed one eastbound lane of the Rickenbacker Causeway early Thursday afternoon to investigate a suspicious package.

Officer Michael Vega said the package was a gym bag, but the contents were unknown.

The Rickenbacker connects mainland Miami to Virginal Key and Key Biscayne.
